# SystemD
SystemD. The outcast of the EightEquals series of boards.
SystemD. The outcast of the EightEquals series of boards.
SystemD was a canceled board in the series. It's completely untested but should
work fine for many types of situations. It's a tightly integrated board
featuring 3 dedicated heater/fan ports, as well as 4 thermistor ports. This was
used as a learning experience for picking up kicad, and it clearly shows. Power
runs in the board aren't nearly as thick as I want them to be for 120w heaters,
thermistors are great but no room for an amp for PT100/PT1000, and a
[Roborock](https://github.com/condottab/Roborock-CPAP) fan port integrated as
well. Everything that could be overkill is massively hampered by other early
design choices, and didn't encapsulate the unix philosophy of a modular and
purpose built system that I wanted. It still has many GPIO pins free for
whatever you want, so maybe someone will find a use for it.
